The legend of Cave Fest X continues with a second weekend as we regale you with the sounds of the Rapid City underground music scene. From 6-10PM on May 7th and 8th, we will bring you some of the best alternative, punk rock, and metal Rapid City and the greater Black HIlls have to offer.
Tickets are only $10 per day and limited to 60 per day to account for social distancing. Get yours today!
As with all of our shows, this is an all-ages event and masks will be required for attendance. We thank you for your support and can't wait to see you at the event!
What a weekend!
We were so honored to share our space with our community this weekend at the first event in our new location - CaveFestX. This was our first time opening our doors and we loved seeing your faces!
With any new venture, there’s a learning curve. We went from not having an espresso machine on Friday, to making hundreds of drinks on Saturday & Sunday. We worked alongside The Seed to rent vendor spaces for community groups and businesses, and we learned ways to better communicate how our space can be used.
We are reminded that the goal of the Cave Collective has always been to create safe spaces for collective and collaborative conversations - and we continue to strive for respect and compassion in our engagements. When we know better, we do better. We’re glad you joined us as we push forward and reach more kids, families, young people, and old people alike within our youth-drive, arts-focused, caffeinated-but-sober, space. If you have questions about our 501c3 or ideas about ways you’d like to get involved, please reach out!
Thank you for joining us. Thank you for investing in our vision. Thank you for coming with curiosity and compassion. We have TONS of photos and videos our Youth Board of Directors filmed and are editing to share with you all in the coming days. If you missed CaveFestX, that’s okay! There’s a lot more music and magic on the agenda over the coming months and we hope you’ll be a part.
Since our founding in May of 2019, we have relied upon the generous donations of our patrons to continue providing an all-ages art space to the lovely citizens of the Black Hills region. Each month we have held a "Cave Fest" made up of local bands with all proceeds going directly to paying our bills and keeping The Cave Collective open. Without the support of these artists and our community, what we do would not be possible and we are eternally grateful for all those who have volunteered their time and talents to keeping The Cave Collective open as a community space for folks of all ages and walks of life. Check out the gallery below to see a history of Cave Fest and some of the amazing bands who have joined us in our mission!
